Artists & Creatives - Be part of our Period Pop Up Art Show!

Mass NOW is taking menstruation out of the closet and spreading awareness around menstrual equity. We’re inviting all creatives; visual artists, musicians, spoken word performers, to participate in a weekend long pop up art show to celebrate, reclaim, explore & question periods, menstruation and the theme ‘the personal is political.’

This event is sponsored in collaboration with Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation, who will open a vacant commercial space for temporary use to showcase the work of local artists. Opening night reception is scheduled for Friday, April 5th 6pm - 11pm and a Artist Talk or panel with participating artists will be held Saturday, April 6th 12:30pm - 2pm. Public gallery hours April 6th & 7th 10am-6pm.

100% of art sale proceeds will go to the artist. Please submit all materials to massnow@massnow.org with ‘Period Pop Up Call for Creatives - your name’ in the subject line. Submissions must include:

  • Name, address, contact info, bio,
  • 3-5 JPEG images of art you wish to showcase, media, dimensions, title & asking price

Deadline to submit is Monday, March 25th. All materials will be reviewed by a panel from the Mass NOW leadership board. To learn more about our new menstrual access bill, CLICK HERE.
